Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an additional intelligence officer to join our growing counter fraud team and help investigate allegations of fraud.
The successful candidate will support our investigators to undertake investigations of suspected fraudulent activity, both internal and external, across a range of council services (for example, single person discount fraud and fraudulent use of blue badges). They will also be expected to undertake data analysis and data matching, identifying potentially fraudulent activity and other relevant information.
The post reports to the manager of the counter fraud team, which is part of our council’s internal audit department.
Previous counter fraud experience or relevant investigations qualification are desirable but not essential. We will support you to undertake and complete an appropriate counter fraud qualification, currently Level 4 Counter Fraud Investigator apprenticeship (if not already qualified).
