Summary

Data and Analysis Create and run reports using Microsoft SQL to help translate data into meaningful insights that help inform key decisions. Deliver consistently high standards in data reliability and information analysis. Use analytical techniques to identify trends, patterns and anomalies in data. Provide analytical support by producing tailored ad-hoc reports/information packs, including regular submissions to Navigo committees and groups. Develop and deliver tailored reports and information pack for services within the organisation. Support the preparation of accurate data for regular meetings and ensure compliance with deadlines. Interprets, presents and benchmarks national and local data for clinical leads to support the strategic function. Abstracts and analyses patient clinical records and use judgement to translate information which may not be readily codable. Provide in-depth analysis to build intelligence for quality improvement plans and workplan projects and assess the impact of service changes. Triangulate analysis across a range of reports and datasets. Manipulation of large datasets and creating complex spread sheets and relational databases as well as analysing and resolving complex queries and discrepancies. Attend regular meetings to provide data-driven updates and insights Provides complex and potentially sensitive ad-hoc information analysis Ensure timely input of all relevant data into information systems to meet reporting deadlines, involving handling large datasets, creating complex spreadsheets and databases, and resolving complex data issues. Maintains a detailed knowledge of NHS data definitions, standards and guidance on healthcare information to ensure that systems are implemented and maintained. Supports with the preparation and quality assurance of routine internal and external information returns relevant to the postholders area of responsibility. Contribute to research and service audit projects, supporting data collection, analysis and distribution of results. Communication Form and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams and external partners. Communicate complex analytical and statistical information in an accessible way, providing clear explanations and guidance to colleagues who may not have a technical background, ensuring data insights are understood and used effectively across the organisation. Explain technical information governance and data security issues in straightforward terms, ensuring that non-technical staff are aware of and compliant with relevant standards and best practices. Represent the DSI Team at internal and external meetings. Support and provide guidance to other staff within the DSI team. Planning Adhere to all relevant legislation, data standards, and best practices to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information, safeguarding information at every stage of its lifecycle. Effectively manage multiple tasks and competing priorities, organising and planning workload to meet tight project deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality. Support the development of data for key projects, business cases, and quality improvement initiatives, providing robust evidence to inform decision-making and service improvements. Regularly monitor and report on progress, ensuring that project goals are being met, tracking performance against agreed plans, and contributing to post-project reviews to share learning and outcomes. Establish, develop, and maintain accurate and efficient information systems to support the recording and monitoring of data for New Initiatives and Diversionary Schemes, enabling better insights and service development. Policy Work within organisational and professional policies and procedures, using sound judgement and initiative to manage day-to-day tasks, while seeking guidance and support from managers when appropriate to ensure high standards are maintained. Ensure data confidentiality, integrity and availability across all work. Act in accordance with Navigo's values and professional standards. HR and Training Support colleagues within the DSI Team, offering assistance and advice in relation to your areas of expertise to help ensure shared success and collaboration. Provide basic guidance and advice on the Mental Health Clinical System and the Incident and Accident Reporting System, helping others to use these systems effectively and confidently. Identify training needs related to core information systems and work with the System Trainer to address any gaps, supporting continuous learning and system improvements. Commit to ongoing professional development, staying up to date with new methods, technologies, and approaches within the field of data and analytics.
