Summary

The Trust Registrar post will be responsible for the day to day management of elective and trauma. This includes patients on the Paediatric wards and in ED. They will be responsible to supervise the CT/F2 doctors and will be expected to attend the orthopaedic clinics, specialist clinics, theatre and ward rounds.



The elective work is carried out on both the North Tees site and the Hartlepool site which is an accredited surgical hub

The candidate will work with the Consultants in the areas of trauma, lower limb, upper limb, hand and wrist surgery. Please note, the post within the hand and wrist team does not take part in the general trauma on call rota but does cover the hand trauma workload with no out of hours work. Teaching opportunities are also available to the successful candidate.
