Are you a creative, driven communicator who’s passionate about inspiring people to support a great cause?

It’s an exciting time to join The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) as we prepare to celebrate our 70th anniversary in 2026. We’re expanding our team to help us grow our fundraising and reach even more young people, and we’re looking for a Fundraising Communications Officer to help us make it happen.

If you love writing engaging content, working on impactful campaigns, and want to help change young people’s lives for the better, this is the role for you.

What will the position involve?

This is a homebased role however there will be some travel throughout UK and London.

As Fundraising Communications Officer, you’ll play a key role in delivering compelling, supporter-focused communications that grow income, build engagement, and raise awareness of the DofE’s mission and impact.

You’ll create and coordinate inspiring content across digital and print channels, support the promotion of fundraising events and campaigns – including for our 70th anniversary – and contribute to developing new supporter propositions. From drafting emails and flyers to helping build thank you packs and donor toolkits, you’ll be central to making sure every supporter feels part of something meaningful.

This role sits within our small, friendly Fundraising Communications team, part of the wider Engagement Directorate, and works closely with colleagues across Fundraising, Brand Marketing, Digital Engagement, and Media and PR.




What we are looking for:
A talented, organised and proactive communicator with experience in a fundraising or charity setting.
You’re an excellent writer, editor and proof-reader, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating engaging content.
You’re confident working across a range of channels – from email and web to social and print – and know how to tailor messaging to different audiences.
You’re comfortable juggling multiple deadlines, and happy to pitch in wherever needed.
You’re a great team player with a can-do attitude and a shared passion for the DofE’s mission.

**The geographical allowance is based on a member of staff having a home or office-based postcode within 30 miles (as the crow flies) from Charing Cross, WC2N 5HS. The allowance is 7% capped at £4,000 per annum.
