Role Overview:

The role shall include but not limited to the following requirements:

Interpret and understand Reinforcement drawings and Bar bending schedules to ensure layouts on site meet the designs detailed.
Checking deliveries of reinforcement direct from the supplier to ensure reinforcement bars align with the design detailed withing bar bending schedules. (Able to highlight defects).
Planning the most efficient and safe sequence of reinforcement bar fixing.
Positioning and tying reinforcement bars using the full range of ties to ensure bars stay securely in place during concrete pours & are compliant with specifications tolerances identified on the drawings & site safety standards.
Installing & securing mechanical reinforcement coupler systems in line with manufacturer requirements.
Assist with other construction site work as directed by the Works Manager.
Following all health and safety and wellbeing policies.
Is fully committed to and actively promotes all aspects of Build Sure and SRM values, culture and behaviours throughout the project.
Cutting & bending/altering reinforcement to size using tools & machinery to identified designs.
Essential Skills and Experience:

CSCS Blue Card (with relevant Steelfixing NVQ)
Level 2 in Steelfixing
Power tools/hot works
Face Fit Tested
Working at Heights
Asbestos Awareness
IOSH Working Safely
Positive attitude to work
Strong communication skills
Desirable Skills and Experience

Full UK Driving license as transport to site will not be provided.
Experience of working in a nuclear environment.
