The HICA Group is looking for a dedicated and proactive Handy Person to join our team at Red House, a modern and welcoming care service based in Bridlington. This is your chance to be part of a not-for-profit organisation that truly values its people and the difference they make every day.
As our Handy Person, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff. Your responsibilities will include general repairs and maintenance of fixtures and fittings, redecorating internal and external areas, deep cleaning of kitchens and equipment, managing drainage systems, and maintaining the exterior of the home. You’ll also carry out weekly checks including temperatures, window restrictors, profiling beds, slide sheets and moving & handling equipment, fire safety systems, call bells, legionella checks, and painting and decorating.
Pay & Hours
Rate of Pay: £12.22 per hour
Hours: 16 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Rota-based, covering 7 days per week. 3 shifts per week

Red House is a 48-bed care home divided into two 24-bed communities, offering specialised dementia care and physical support to older adults. Nestled in the charming seaside town of Bridlington, we enjoy proximity to local amenities and beautiful views of the beachfront and Flamborough Head.
Our single-storey building features hairdressing facilities, designated activity areas, and serene internal courtyards and gardens—ideal for relaxation and gardening hobbies. A resident favourite is the Red House Arms, our very own in-house pub that hosts a variety of themed events, including royal celebrations, race afternoons, and games like dominoes and darts.
