Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Core (ST1-2 equivalent) in Breast Surgery. This post is available from 06 August 2025 until 04 August 2026.

The Cambridge Breast Unit provides multidisciplinary and comprehensive care in the management of a full range of benign and malignant breast disease and is a tertiary referral centre for flap-based reconstructive procedures.

In order to be considered applicants must meet the essential criteria outlined in the person specification.

The post holder will support new one-stop diagnostic and follow up breast clinics, provide assistance in theatre, participate in pre and post-operative ward rounds and day to day running of the surgical Breast Unit (including medical administration). In addition, the post holder will also be expected to attend twice weekly MDT and participate in MDT team working.

Please note that this post does not carry Postgraduate Dean’s approval or training recognition.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application is required.

This post may be suitable for those wishing to undertake an “F3” role.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
