Your new company
Hays Education Wirral are working with a 1 form entry primary school in Birkenhead looking for Year 6 teacher. This job is full time from September 2025 for one year initially.
Your new role
As the Year 6 teacher, your job will involve preparing children for their SATs and transitioning to secondary school. You will have 1 x full-time TA to support you as needed, but this job will involve responsibility for all planning, marking and assessment for the class.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in securing this Year 6 class teaching job, you will:
- Hold QTS
- Have experience of teaching in a primary setting that we can reference (ideally in Key Stage 2)
- Have excellent written and oral communication
- Be confident in planning engaging and appropriate lessons to help the children meet their expected grades
- Experience of leading SATs would be an advantage for this role
