We're proud of our journey, standing by our communities through every season of life.Together, we are committed to making a positive difference every day.An exciting opportunity exists for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Team at Progress Living, working across our two sites based in Lincoln and Grantham.We are looking for an individual to lead, manage and work alongside the Lincoln and Grantham Housekeeping Teams in the day-to-day management of Progress Living accommodation.Progress Living works in partnership with United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals Trust, managing units of accommodation across 3 hospital sites in the Lincolnshire area. Our contract includes extensive refurbishment and new build accommodation combined with the long-term management contract. Your RoleProvide an efficient and effective housekeeping service to occupants in the accommodation.Manage the Housekeeping Teams at Lincoln and Grantham, ensuring that they provide housekeeping services in accordance with Group policies and procedures and to the standard required.Responsible for ensuring the Housekeeping Teams at Lincoln & Boston undertake the full range of cleaning duties in a timely manner, ensuring working practices comply with all current policies and procedures relating to COSHH and Health and Safety.Responsible for ensuring scheduled and ad hoc duties relating to environmental cleanliness and/or appearance of the area, such as curtain changing, inventory item restocking, carpet shampooing etc. are carried out in line with current policies and procedures.Manage the housekeeping team on site to ensure work is carried out to the standard required, including undertaking regular one to ones and managing sickness absence as per the Groups policies and procedures.Produce and be responsible for rotas for the housekeeping teams at Lincoln and Grantham, including rotas for cyclical tasks and staff rotas to ensure sufficient cover is always provided at the project.Monitor the work standard of the housekeeping team, raising any issues identified within one to ones, seeking resolution, and escalating to the Operations Manager where required.Develop and maintain harmonious employee relations, through such means as effective communication and consultation channels, ensuring team members have the opportunity to positively contribute to the development of the services.Actively encourage the involvement of team members in the setting of goals.Under the direction of the Operations Manager assist with the implementation of the Group’s policies and procedures and guidelines, ensuring all staff are made aware of updates and that implementation has been effectively carried out. This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week. Our full-time equivalent (FTE) is 36.25 hours per week, so the salary of £29,361 is pro rata to the FTE. What We Are Looking ForWe are looking for someone who is highly motivated and able to work on their own initiative, as well as being a team player.Previous experience managing a team, as well as leading and motivating staff to perform within their roles is essential, as is experience working within a housekeeping or domestic cleaning role. A willingness to undertake further training will be required. Customer service is an essential part of the role, and experience dealing with customers would be an advantage.
