Summary


Here at MSE, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as an Imaging Assistant and make a real difference to our communities.

If successful, you will work alongside members of a multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients have an excellent experience in Imaging.

You will be required to work in all area’s of imaging including CT, MRI, General Ultrasound and Maternity Ultrasound. You will be responsible for preparing patients for scans and maintaining a safe environment.

You will assist and support patient care and when required. You will also chaperone the Sonographers during growth scans and gynaecology assessments.

• To ensure safety and comfort of patients (before, during and after all
procedures/scans, specifically paying attention to the Oxygen requirements of our patients and undertaking all relevant training)
• To monitor, record and report changes in patients’ condition, as directed by registered staff (nurses and/or radiographers)
• To implement the Trusts infection control policy preventing cross infection.
• The post holder must maintain an up to date working knowledge of Trust/local policies and procedures .
• Report faulty equipment to the nurse/radiographer/sonographer in charge
• To be aware of the need for good housekeeping, preventing health and safety hazards
• Acquire knowledge and skills to be able to complete relevant documentation e.g. care given and the recording of observations.
• To undertake and successfully complete a programme of formal training and assessment.
• To assist where necessary with clinical procedures under the supervision of registered staff.
• To ensure a positive patient experience throughout the patient journey
Raise clinical incident reports as and when necessary.
