Maths Graduate – Teacher Training
Are you a maths graduate ready to kickstart your teaching career with full classroom experience and a clear route to QTS?
*** Maths Graduate – Teacher Training
*** Permanent
*** £81–£101 per day
*** Location: Central Birmingham
*** Train to become a Maths Teacher
The Role
This is a salaried, in-school training opportunity for a maths graduate who wants to become a teacher. You’ll begin by supporting KS3 and KS4 pupils through interventions, small group work, and in-class assistance. Over time, you’ll take on increased responsibility, learning how to plan and deliver lessons with the support of experienced mentors. If successful, you’ll move into a formal teacher training pathway within the school, leading to Qualified Teacher Status.
The Candidate
You’ve got a degree in mathematics or a related subject and are serious about a long-term career in education. You’re confident with GCSE and A-Level content and have the communication skills to explain it clearly to young learners. Previous experience working with pupils—whether tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering—is highly beneficial. You’ll need to be enthusiastic, resilient, and ready to learn on the job.
The School
Based in Central Birmingham, this forward-thinking secondary school is passionate about developing the next generation of teachers. With a strong maths department and a supportive training structure, the school offers the perfect environment for graduates who want to learn, grow, and earn while they train.
If you're looking to become a fully qualified teacher without going down the traditional PGCE route—apply now.
Due to the volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
