Summary


We have a unique, fixed term opportunity to join the Women’s Health Division at University College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a new fixed term General Manager position working alongside the existing General Manager across Breast and Gynaecology services to establish 1 WTE Breast and Gynaecology General Manager and 1 WTE Gynaecology General Manager. The exact service portfolio will be agreed depending on the skills and experience of the new and existing appointee to provide senior leadership across the division. The position is funded until March 2026.

We are looking for a dynamic leader, who is passionate about quality, patient-centred care and improving services. The successful candidate must be committed and collaborative who is able to lead the operational delivery of services and drive service innovations and transformation, delivery against national RTT and CWT targets and ensuring an outstanding service for our patients.



Reporting to the Divisional Manager, the General Manager is responsible for the operational management of the Gynaecology, Gynae-oncology and/or Breast services, and the delivery of performance targets including finance, activity and workforce, and others as applicable; this includes accountability for cancer and referral to treatment waiting times standards.

The General Manager is also a key stakeholder in the Gynae-oncology and Breast NCL Clinical Networks, collaborating with the Cancer Alliance and counterparts in acute trusts to achieve service transformation for cancer services.
