Job Title: Import Customs Coordinator
Location: Newport
Salary: £25,500 raising to £27,000 after probation
Hours: Full time. Temporary to permanent flexible hours between 7am-6pm this will be 5 days a week. Working 40 hours in between those time. Flexible to cover on call on weekends once a month
Here at The Recruitment we are recruiting a Import Customs Coordinator to work for a client of ours based in Newport.
Main Job roles:
- Obtain all required documentation and information from Importers, Exporters, Clients, Warehouse Keepers, Owners of Goods, and other stakeholders before completing declarations.
- Ensure the accurate preparation and completion of Import / Export documentation through third-party bespoke software or Government Portals
- Efficiently communicate and email documentation to various parties including Clients, Importers, Exporters, Warehouse
- Keepers, Haulers, and Agents where appropriate.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with all stakeholders involved in the Import / Export process.
- Prepare and input accurate data into the bespoke and third-party operating systems.
- Regularly update and maintain all systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
- To maintain a good and effective working relationships with all management and staff alike.
- Take reasonable care of your own health, safety and well-being, that of your work colleagues and other personnel who may be affected by your actions or omissions.
- Be responsible for promptly reporting accidents, 'near miss' incidents, dangerous occurrences and unsafe working practices to the Customs General Manager or Director as per established Company Health and Safety procedures,
- Communication of any updated local information received to the Manager.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as and when requested by your Manager.
