About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled and dependable Laboratory Technician to join our growing team in Redditch. This is a hands-on role primarily based in the laboratory, with regular interaction on the shop floor for collecting and analysing process solutions. After initial training, you’ll be expected to work independently, manage your workload efficiently, and adhere to strict procedures and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities Analytical & Technical Duties
  • Perform wet chemical analysis, including acid-base titrations, pH readings, and sugar content testing


  • Carry out hydrogen and copper sulphate tests


  • Prepare and standardise chemical stock solutions


  • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment


  • Monitor and interpret trends in process solution data, reporting findings to relevant departments


    ⚙️ Operational Support
    • Liaise with on-site chemical service providers


    • Support HSE with chemical audits and documentation


    • Maintain accurate data entry and records via LIMS


    • Assist in stock control and maintain a clean, safe lab environment


    • Participate in cross-functional lab duties and support ad hoc tasks when required


      Skills & Experience ✅ Essential:
      • Experience with wet chemistry techniques (e.g. titrations, solution preparation)


      • Understanding of laboratory equipment calibration


      • High attention to detail and accuracy


      • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)


        âž• Desirable:
        • Experience working in NADCAP or ISO 17025-accredited environments


        • Training will be provided to candidates with relevant skills and a strong work ethic
