Summary
The role
We have an opportunity to join the Finance Department as a Pensions Administrator; you will:
Be responsible for all aspects of the pensions administration, while delivering a customer focused and pro-active approach.
Provide professional services to a diverse customer base; internal and external members and clients, and attending relevant meetings.
Perform manual calculations and produce quotations, statements and transfer values using your excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
Produce written correspondence to enquiries, as well as dealing with queries via the telephone.
About you
Ideally you will have previous experience in Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension arrangements, with the ability to work to current legislative and company requirements. However, payroll experience would be required as a minimum for applicants looking to move in to pension administration, with training being provided on the University’s affiliated Schemes.
You will be an excellent team player with a proven ability to work proactively. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and can prioritise their work to meet deadlines in a busy environment, adopting a flexible working approach. Effective communication, organisational and inter-personal skills, IT and customer service skills are essential to the role.
