Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Environmental Health & Licensing to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development, implementation, and management of environmental health programs and licensing activities to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, driving initiatives that protect public health, ensure environmental sustainability, and promote community well-being. Your strategic oversight will be critical in advancing our organization’s mission to provide safe and healthy environments for all residents. As the head of this department, you will collaborate with governmental agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community stakeholders to develop policies and programs that address environmental concerns while enhancing quality of life. This role requires a balance of technical expertise and strong leadership capabilities, as you will be expected to make informed decisions, manage budgets, and provide guidance on complex regulatory issues. Responsibilities
Lead the Environmental Health & Licensing department, overseeing program development and implementation.
Ensure compliance with environmental health laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.
Manage and mentor a team of environmental health specialists and licensing officers.
Develop and execute strategies to improve public health outcomes through effective environmental policies.
Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies on environmental health initiatives and licensing.
Conduct assessments and inspections to monitor compliance and evaluate environmental risks.
Prepare and present reports to stakeholders on environmental health metrics and licensing activities.
Requirements
Master's degree in Environmental Science, Public Health, or a related field.
A minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental health, public health, or regulatory compliance.
Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental health regulations.
Proven track record of managing teams and leading departmental initiatives.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Ability to develop strategic plans and implement policies for environmental health programs.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Day: £380.23
