Summary
Maintenance Technician required for long-established, market leading manufacturing facility near Manningtree. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical and electrical background who is eager to constantly develop his/her skills.
The successful Maintenance Technician will work collaboratively with plant personnel to carry out maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support the installation and modification of machinery.
Job description:
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on production and facilities equipment.
• Repair and maintain (non-food related) machinery.
• Carry out basic electrical maintenance and install electronic controls and equipment.
• Support plant modifications and new equipment installations.
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and regulations.
• Source and purchase parts for timely equipment repair within budget.
Skills Required:
• Ideally completed Engineering Apprenticeship in industrial maintenance
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in converting, hazardous areas is desirable.
• Familiarity with hazardous area standards (COMPEX EXF preferred).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Basic mathematical skills and mechanical aptitude.
Hours of work 8.30am – 4.45pm Monday to Thursday, 8.30am - 3.45pm Friday, (36 hours per week). Excellent benefits package. Salary £31K depending on experience.
