Are you passionate about data and eager to make an impact? We are developing our Digital, Data & Technology functions at the TRA, and you will be joining the data team.

The TRA is defining and setting up our future data architecture and data governance. We are looking for a data governance manager to help us deliver this.

You will lead and support the TRA in defining our approach to data governance. This includes working across the organisation in defining what role data governance should take, mapping our data, ensuring it supports the delivery of our Digital and Data Strategy and broader TRA outcomes.

You will also provide project support to data projects across the data function. You will also have an opportunity to develop your data skills as the TRA grows our data engineering, data analysis, and data science functions.

You will work with colleagues across the organisation to understand their data and use it to help teams make decisions and influence the direction of the TRA.

You will be based within the Data & Monitoring unit within the Analysis & Verification Directorate. You will also work together with Digital & Technology colleagues to evolve how the TRA works with data, engaging with our Digital & Data Programme.

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Deliver and manage our data and metadata supply chain model.
  • Establish and operationalise our data governance function and ensure it supports our broader DDaT strategy.
  • Collaborate with Cyber, Knowledge and Information Management, and broader Digital & Technology teams to enable effective data governance.
  • Provide project, planning, and reporting support to data teams and projects across the organisation.
  • Build a strong understanding of our commercial and governance processes to support data acquisition and data procurement activities across the TRA.
  • Assist or lead on broader DDaT initiatives across the TRA, such as embedding AI into our day-to-day operations.
  • Have opportunities to assist or lead on data engineering, analytics, and data science projects depending on your skillset.
