Summary

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef/Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality and restaurant operations, with a flair for creativity in culinary presentation. As a Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing food production and ensuring high standards of food safety.

Duties
Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food production.
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices in the kitchen.
Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and menu items that reflect current culinary trends.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
Assist in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
Ensure that the kitchen is organised, clean, and well-maintained at all times.
Address any issues or concerns that arise within the kitchen promptly and effectively.

Qualifications
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a hospitality or restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.
Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead kitchen staff effectively.
Creativity in menu planning and dish presentation is highly desirable.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments effectively.
A culinary degree or relevant certification is an advantage but not essential.
