Qualifications & Training
Degree level or equivalent
CCAB qualified
Sector specific qualifications (DSBM/CIPFA)
Evidence of commitment to ongoing professional development
5 GCSEs, including Maths and English, Grade C or above (or equivalent)
Knowledge & Experience
Financial planning, budget monitoring and reporting and procurement
Management of fixed assets, balance sheet reporting and capital budgets/funding
Ability to implement the principles of best value to maximise resources
Experience of delivering to deadlines and achieving set targets to a high standard
Experience of allocating and prioritising workload effectively to gain maximum productivity
Experience of managing a team, including professional development and performance
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365 product suite
Prior experience in a similar role
Experience of payroll procedures
Experience of supporting and advising senior leadership within a medium/large organisation
In-depth knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and the implications of non-compliance
Experience of public sector procurement and contract management
Skills & Abilities
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Ability to work independently to organise own workload
Strong interpersonal skills
Highly motivated individual with an innovative approach and problem-solving attitude
Ability to demonstrate engaging and effective oral and written communication
Ability to use a variety of financial management systems
Understand the principles of, and ability to complete, curriculum led financial planning
Experience of PS Financials and IMP accounting software
Team player with an ability to maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
