Summary
Weston College is the regional provider for the Prison Education Framework (PEF) across the South West of England and is now seeking to recruit an outstanding and highly motivated Library and Learning Resource Centre (LLRC) Facilitator at HMP Bristol.
This is a part time role, working 18.5 hours per week.
Day to day duties of the role
- Develop positive working relationships, liaising regularly with curriculum staff, HMPPS and other partners to ensure LLRC meets prison population needs.
- Work collaboratively with the curriculum team to embed the use of the LLRC within teaching, learning and assessment.
- Extend learning and literacy beyond the classroom by working with the curriculum team and partners to develop, implement and support reading and learning experiences.
- Facilitate use of technology to enhance learning and support preparation for resettlement and employment.
Required skills and qualifications
- Good level of technical ability and competent user of technology.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
- Strong organisation and time management skills.
