Summary

We are on a journey to continue the development of the past several years to make our 'High Needs' provision 'Outstanding' for the benefit of individuals with disabilities and learning difficulties within our local area; from all abilities of learner'.

We are currently looking for someone to cover the maternity leave of our current post-holder. We will look for the individual to continue the work being done by the current post-holder to help us achieve our journey to 'Outstanding'



We are seeking a leader who is looking for a new challenge or an experienced teacher looking for their next step in their progression. Someone who shares our belief that everyone is entitled to the equal opportunity of education, developing their independence, and resulting in potential paid employment. Someone who is passionate about supporting individuals with SEND into further education, work experience and increased independence or the world of work. Someone who has experience of teaching and working with learners with SEND and their associated behaviours, who can support teachers within the provision in preparing our young individuals for adulthood.



The Operational Lead role will work predominately at their base campus (Rodbaston) for the day-to-day. However, they may also be required to be out in the community; representing the college and increase our employer/organisation partnership cohort by attending school careers and IAG events.

The Operational Lead will be responsible for the welfare and education of the learners within the Rodbaston Futures provision when on site, have a teaching commitment of 0.4 FTE in addition, cover for staff sickness within the Futures provision as and when required. The role also plays an integral role in building up the relationships with parents/guardians and any external professionals working with the young people attending our provision



The Operational Lead will support the Curriculum Manager: SEND in developing the educational and employability/careers offer for young people with SEND at South Staffordshire College and supporting the local communities to break down barriers/assumptions surrounding disabilities.
