Teaching Assistant /Teaching Assistant PLUS Cover Supervisor We have an exciting opportunity to join a friendly school at the heart of a thriving local community in outer London. We are looking to appoint exceptional candidates to work as class based Teaching Assistants to support high quality teaching and learning in KS1 or KS2. We are also looking for candidates that have the skills and experience to act as Class Based Teaching Assistants in the morning and then Cover Supervisors – covering lessons across KS1 or KS2 - in the afternoons. This role would be perfect for a Teaching Assistant looking for career development, a teacher wishing for a change in role, or an aspiring teacher. The ability to build a strong relationship with both the teachers and children is of vital importance. About us: We are a popular, oversubscribed, three form entry primary school in Feltham, a short walk away from the town centre and direct train line into London Waterloo. We amalgamated the Infant and Nursery and Junior schools in September 2018, and have become a happy and harmonious team. We are on an exciting journey towards achieving the vision of our school – ‘’where children aspire, succeed and flourish, while laying foundations for the best possible pathway to the future’’. We are looking for Teaching Assistants who: • are passionate about, and skilled in building up meaningful relationships with children. • are able to support the teacher in ensuring children an access teaching and learning. • show a genuine interest in, and concern for children’s wellbeing, being prepared to ‘go the extra mile’ for each and every child • treat children with kindness and respect • consider all kinds of different ways to break down barriers • support with enthusiasm, passion and humour We are also looking for Teaching Assistants/Cover supervisors who: • Have experience as a successful teaching assistant (graduate desirable but not essential) and who is able to raise and sustain high standards • has the required skills to manage whole classes and deliver planned lessons • has excellent interpersonal skills with pupils, staff and parents • able to enthuse and inspire children • somebody who can contribute to a dynamic and hardworking team We can offer: • a nurturing, friendly and supportive working environment - staff refer to their colleagues as 'like family'. • a meaningful commitment to well-being for all, including for staff an annual well-being day, social events and Employee Assistance Programme • CPD opportunities • a supportive leadership team We have more than one position to fill. The positions will be fixed term for one year in the first instance. 32.5 hours per week, term time only. Interested? Candidates are welcome to arrange visit prior to the interviews.
