Overview and Responsibilities Education Administrator - Aurora Severnside School Location: Berkeley, South Gloucestershire Salary: £24,081.09 - £26,053.41 actual annual salary – dependant on experience & qualifications Hours: 40 hours per week – TTO + 2 additional weeks
Aurora Severnside is a bespoke school for 11-16 year olds with SEMH needs, having taken the best elements of a mainstream school and the best elements of a special school to create an environment where young people can achieve their own goals and thrive in a future of their own choosing. We aim to prepare students for life beyond school, so further education and employability is truly at the heart of our culture and ethos.
The main purpose of the role: We are looking for a reliable and organised Education Administrator to join our team and provide key support with school administration. You will be required to undertake general administration duties, such as inputting and retrieving data, taking accurate minutes as required, preparing relevant information for Ofsted inspections and assisting with any other duties that may be required by the School Business Manager and other members of SLT. If you are proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoy working as part of a supportive team, we’d be excited to hear from you!
Skills and Qualifications Successful candidate qualities: Experience Experience of working in Administrative role within a school environment and/or a busy Administration office Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, email and web and general office systems Skills Adaptable, flexible approach to work including collaborative support to other colleagues to mee demands of the business Excellent organisation skills: ability to work in a busy and demanding environment Ability to work independently and effectively without supervision and to be able to prioritise workload Commitment to service quality Ability to be discreet and protect confidentiality Excellent communication skills both verbal and written at all levels Excellent customer focussed manner Good level of literacy and numeracy (at least 5 GCSEs above C to include English and Maths). Must have excellent computer skills – Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and ability to use range of databases once trained Accurate typing, touch typing desirable. Organised, reliable with good time management. Ability to manage own time to deal with multiple tasks. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
