In common with all who work in the college, the post holder will also be expected:
Act as an ambassador for the college by supporting our values and expectations of learning.
Be a significant presence and role model for pupils and staff and to meet fully the college dress code.
Follow and where appropriate enact all relevant Sixth Form policies, procedures and guidelines.
Contribute to college development through team planning and review meetings.
To participate in the college’s performance management scheme.
Participation in extra-curricular activities is voluntary but all staff members are encouraged to participate lead and promote activities to build good relationships with young people and broaden their informal learning opportunities.
All staff are expected to be familiar with and adhere to all Sixth Form policies and, in particular, meet key requirements in relation to health and safety and teaching and learning.Main Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibility for administrative tasks from across a range of faculties and departments including leadership and the student support centre (via a ticketing service)
Pre-coding exams, trips and alternative arrangements into SIMS to support attendance management
Processing trip forms and other trip administration
Administrative support for UCAS and PS16
Liaising effectively with staff to ensure core activities are completed on time
Written and verbal communication with parents and students
Library reception desk duties
Assistance in covering other front of house duties such as student support reception and college reception
Provide reprographic services in support of teaching, administration and management activities throughout college, using reprographic equipment;
Assist students with reprographic queries in support of their college work
Supporting copying requirements – paper sizes; document finishing; laminating; stapling; booklets etc;
Trouble shooting departments printing devices, e.g. paper jams, user-generated errors (wrong paper size etc);
Maintaining and managing all stock including finalising and placing orders for new consumables, paper and staples
Undertake regular, basic maintenance, including changing toner, and safety checks on all School reprographic equipment;
Booking for repairs as and when necessary, to ensure smooth operation of all equipment;
Dealing with the service departments of suppliers to ensure service requirements of machinery are met;
Arranging for collection and disposal of toners, and unused printed materials and paper;
Ensuring that the School’s Reprographics Room is maintained in a tidy and ordered appearance.
Provide a flexible service that may require undertaking tasks the Operations Manager may reasonably request within your job role.
