Summary
Placing orders with suppliers based on projected needs ensuring accurate and timely delivery. Properly storing inventory to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage, using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles. Maintaining accurate records of stock levels, including food, beverages, and supplies, using inventory management software or manual methods. Monitoring and controlling food costs by tracking expenses, identifying areas for cost reduction, and implementing cost-saving measures. Training kitchen staff on proper inventory management practices and supporting them in carrying out their inventory-related duties.
