Summary
Due to expansion and in line with planned growth, we currently have opportunities in our busy commercial vehicle workshops at our sites in Ayrshire and Motherwell for full-time, permanent HGV technicians.
Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for MOT preparation, service and repair of trucks and trailers.
We are looking for hard working and dedicated people to join our friendly team who is looking to get fully involved and make a difference every day. We are offering a competitive rates of pay, coupled with additional remuneration for optional on-call which is based on a weekly rota.
The Candidate we are looking for:
· NVQ / VCQ level 3 Qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
· Experience of heavy goods vehicle maintenance / repair
· HGV Class 1 / Class 2 driving license preferred however not essential as training can be provided if desired.
· Knowledge of vehicle electrical, hydraulic systems and pneumatic systems
· The ability to work on your own initiative when required and as part of our team
Responsibilities and Duties
· Service, maintenance and repairs to a range of commercial vehicles
· Diagnosing vehicle faults and rectifying defects
· Carrying out routine safety inspections
· On-site and roadside repairs
· Preventative maintenance
· Adhering to health and safety
· Preparing vehicles for MOT
