Summary
Job title Kitchen Porter (Bakery)
Location: DALSTON
Contract: Permanent full/part time roles available (weekend availability essential)
Salary: £13.85 p/h
The Role:
Kitchen porters are vital to the bakery. They ensure that all our sections and equipment are all kept clean and tidy to allow for smooth and efficient operations.
They are crucial for supporting the chefs and bakers to ensure a safe and hygienic working environment.
We all work exceptionally hard to make our bakery run the best it can – KP role is key to that and requires someone not afraid of hard graft, with bundles of energy, ready to get stuck in!
Key Objectives:
- Efficiently cleaning equipment throughout the day and its inflow and outflow from the KP area.
- Maintaining an exceptionally clean and tidy section.
- Working independently to complete required jobs of each day. Report completion on provided lists.
- Assisting in weekly deep cleaning.
- Handling cleaning chemicals and informing when stocks are low.
- Taking the initiative to inform managers on areas that need specific attention.
- Adhering to food safety, COSHH and health and safety standards. Training provided.
Behaviors/requirements that are critical for this role:
- Diligence and organization. Always working clean and efficiently to ensure the bakery operates at its full capacity.
- Communication. You must be able to listen to your colleagues and your managers and communicate any problems or time constraints. Ability to be able to listen and take on feedback.
- Time management. Key skills in prioritising jobs, working hard and efficiently to make sure the section is always clean and organized.
You must be available to work any day (this is shift based).
