About the role

As a Groundsperson, you will play a key role in the upkeep and presentation of the sports pitches and facilities within the borough, operating sports turf equipment alongside other associated machinery preparing the pitches and facilities for matches and training, including fine turf areas using specialist machinery.

You will also be required to conduct a variety of other works such as supporting general grounds maintenance duties as required.

About you

As part of the Grounds Maintenance Team, you will need to have practical experience within the grounds and sports turf industry.

You will have knowledge of turf care techniques and sport-specific maintenance schedules and have the ability to operate groundskeeping machinery such as tractors with the associated attachments, mowers, line markers, aerators and rollers. You will need a strong attention to detail and a commitment to high presentation standards.
