Summary

Sunflowers at Grafton is a registered charity and is a community run, not for profit childcare offering set in beautiful natural surroundings. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) system to give families peace of mind that thier child will be encouraged to fulfil their potential. Sunflowers also offers wraparound care in the form of Breakfast, After School and Holiday Clubs for children attending local primary schools and from further afield.

Sunflowers is very much part of the local community that we are set in.

All about the role:

Working as part of the leadership team to provide professional leadership and management to the Sunflowers team, Room Leaders will drive continuous improvements in the quality of care and education and ensure a consistent approach between rooms.

They will ensure the provision of the very best care and education for their children. Room Leaders are role models and lead their team to provide an emotionally secure, warm, welcoming, stimulating and safe environment which actively demonstrates the Sunflowers at Grafton ethos and works within the parameters of ‘The Way We Do Things’.

Room Leaders are responsible for the following:

High standards of Safeguarding and welfare for all children
High standards of care and education
Compliance with all regulatory requirements
Positive proactive working relationships with all parents/carers, team members and outside agencies
Managing & leading a team who feel supported in their roles and are effective in their practice
Our Room Leaders are a key and integral part of the successful day to day operation at Sunflowers and therefore need to be committed, focussed and professional in all that they do. Great communication skills with families and colleagues is essential, as is a good sense of humour and genuinely enjoying working with and shaping the lives of little people.
