Summary

The Digital Data and Technology (DDaT) profession enable the Home Office to keep the UK safe and secure. They do this by designing, building, and running the services that help people apply for visas or passports, support policing and counter-terrorism operations, and protect the UK’s borders.

Team members have specialised knowledge and a calling to build on it. We want the best people to come to the Home Office and work in the diverse roles and communities they’re passionate about. This is how we produce exceptional outcomes.

Due to business requirements this post is available on a Full Time/Job Share/Flexible Working basis. Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. Where this is the case, employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in the office.  Applicants can raise any queries to the email address at the bottom of the advert.

We value diversity and inclusion and welcome applications from the widest diversity of backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. We particularly encourage applications from women, people with disabilities and LGBT+ as they are currently under-represented in the Home Office at this grade level. Appointments will be made on merit based on fair and open competition.

The Migration and Borders Technology Portfolio (MBTP) are an award-winning delivery partner in the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) directorate. We drive digital ambitions, design appropriate solutions and deliver digital services quickly and effectively. Our work makes a real difference in helping the Home Office achieve its ambitions to keep citizens safe and the country secure.

We’re looking for two Technology Delivery Managers to work in our Customer Services & Asylum Technology Delivery Centre (TDC). The team deliver digital solutions for Customer Services Group - covering asylum & protection and visas, information & passports teams.

As a Technology Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for the performance of a team and the delivery of technology products and services.

You will set up your team for success and represent them to stakeholders and suppliers, building successful relationships across and beyond the organisation.

You will find and remove blockers and inefficiencies, using data to continually push for better ways of working, leading to better outcomes.

Joining the Home Office Technology Delivery community, you will share knowledge and experience with colleagues across the department and wider Government, building skills and helping to apply good practice and standards.

You will support the UK’s security and prosperity through the products and services that you help to deliver.
