Summary
Planning and Organisational Duties Support cardiology nursing colleagues by providing cross cover for annual leave and other leave as necessary Support clinical activity as part of the weekly job plan. Support diagnostic actively through the week and flex duties to support this activity. Support research based practice Provide teaching and education sessions for nurse development Communications and Key Working Relationships Work with NICE guidelines and communicate best practice to wards and departments caring for cardiac patients. Support the cardiac network working with the CATs system Responsibility for Health & Safety Compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 the post holder is required to fulfil a proactive role towards the management of risk in all of their actions. This entails the risk assessment of all situations, the taking of appropriate actions and reporting of all incidents, near misses and hazards, and a statutory duty of care for their own personal safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions. Responsibility for Teaching Support junior colleagues, students and promote link nurse duties.
