Your new role
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics and KPIs.
- Support cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
- Liaise with auditors and assist with year-end processes.
- Maintain and improve internal financial controls and processes.
- Provide financial insights to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure financial alignment across departments.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an SME or mid-sized business.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or SAP).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of UK tax regulations and compliance.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
