Summary

SHEA - Safety Health and Environmental Manager

The SHEA Manager will focus on our North region but with some national working when supporting the team. ​Partnering across all our social housing customers. The role is hybrid, with a base from our Warrington office.

With responsibility for regional SHEA Advisors and our Electrical, Gas and Passive Fire Compliance teams you will work closely with our operational teams, supply chain partners and clients to develop a strong safety and assurance culture which strives to deliver excellence to our customers.

This is a hands on, people focused role, that will require you to work with a range of stakeholders. You will be onsite carrying our safety and assurance inspections on our maintenance and refurbishments projects, working with site teams and operational colleagues to deliver continuous improvement and working with our senior teams and the Head of SHEA to set the direction of our approach to Safety and Assurance across the business.

An outline of your responsibility as an SHEA Manager

​To deputise for the Head of SHEA and work with the Head of SHEA on accident/incident investigations.
Manage, inspire and develop the regional SHEA team to provide collaborative support and advice to operational teams
Work in partnership with operational teams to create a positive and proactive safety culture
Develop and implement SHEA management systems, including policies and procedures, ensuring they are up to date with legislation and best practice
Host and run SHEA Committee meetings to discuss performance, identify trends and set targets.
Undertake onsite inspections and ensure standards are consistent nationally.
Responsible for overseeing all regional SHEA activity, escalating non-compliance
Develop training programmes to provide additional support to operations and ensure SHEA inductions and mandatory training needs are met
About You

As a SHEA Manager you will hold relevant qualifications including NEBOSH (General Construction) IOSH Member (desirable), Asbestos Awareness, Scaffold Inspection. P405 and Environmental qualifications advantageous. Experience working with a partnered approach to Safety along with the ability to lead an ambitious team is essential to the role. Candidates should have strong IT skills with the ability to adapt to using new software. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail skills, and be a confident communicator with a self starter, conscientious approach focused on delivering it right, first time, for our customers.
