We have a vacancy for a mechanical technicians for the assembly, testing and servicing of flexible hoses located in our Cramlington factory.
Techfluid are a well established supplier of flexible hoses to the international oil & gas industry with locations in Cramlington and China. We take pride in the high standards of the work we carry our daily, and we place a large emphasis on customer service and satisfaction. Our business is expanding and we are looking for persons who understand and share these values.
The ideal candidate will have mechanical engineering experience in an engineering environment with the use of manual tools.
Full training will be provided.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about what they do and have the ability to work both in a team and independently. As part of our team, you will be working in a dynamic and fast paced environment. You will be welcomed into a small, busy, but friendly team and will be given further training to develop your professional skills.
The Role Responsibilities Include:
• Assembly of heavy duty flexible hoses including handling, cutting and crimping
• Hydrostatic pressure testing of completed hose assemblies
• Inspection and service of products and reporting
• Working with an ISO 9001 accredited system
• Complete all work to a high standard
• Adhere to H&S regulations and maintain a safe working environment at all times
• Occasional working away at customer site that may include working offshore (once competent)
About you:
• You will be a confident reliable person who is able to pick up new things quickly.
• Being able to work both independently and within a team environment is a must.
• You will be physically fit and capable for the daily work schedule particularly with the larger heavy hose products.
• Be literate with good interpersonal skills.
• Be passionate about the industry and take pride in all work carried out.
• You will be able to work both skilfully and safely and adhere to timelines/deadlines effectively.
• The work scope is liable to change now and again, so we need someone who is flexible, and able to work well under pressure.
• This role will also require you to be organised, have exceptional attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude.

• Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Hours of work: 39 hours per week
Mon - Thurs 8:00 – 16:30
Fri 08:00 – 15:30
• Work Location: In person in Cramlington
• Language: English (preferred)
• Driving Licence: Preferred
• Forklift use: Preferably licenced but training can be arranged
