We are a thriving and forward-thinking accountancy practice seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, client-focused, and keen to play a key role in our software transition and service improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse portfolio of clients.
• Lead the transition from the obsolete Earnie Payroll software to Sage 50 Payroll, ensuring a smooth and effective implementation.
• Ensure payrolls are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with current legislation.
• Deliver excellent customer service and be a key point of contact for client payroll queries.
• Drive improvements in internal payroll processing efficiencies and work with clients to make the exchange of information more effective and on time.
• Maintain and review accurate billing for payroll services, ensuring invoices reflect the scope of work and are issued regularly.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll with accounting and advisory services.

What We’re Looking For:
• Proven experience in managing payroll within an accountancy practice or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation and best practices.
• Experience with Sage 50 Payroll and pension schemes is essential; familiarity with Xero is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality service delivery.
• Effective communicator and a supportive team player.
• Ability to manage change and drive improvements in processes and systems.
