Summary
Process and log all referrals from all sources in line with Trust Access & Administration Process Policy and specialty Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Schedule appointments, ensuring that capacity is proactively and efficiently used. This includes booking patients into the right treatment/diagnostic clinic to ensure that they are seen by the most appropriate clinician first time and for subsequent follow ups in gynaecology outpatients. Be pro-active in adding all referrals to the Colp/Vulval/Hysteroscopy system (MediScan).Clinic management cancel and block clinics for annual and study leave, ensuring that Trust targets are not breached. Add ad-hoc clinics/clinic slots as required. Ensure that any diagnostics and investigations that are required as part of the patient pathway have been requested and that the results are available for all consultations. This will include those that are carried out at other TrustsCo-ordinate patient requested cancellations and re-book to ensure patients who need timed reviews and monitoring are seen in a timely fashion.
