Summary
Title: HGV Driver / LGV Cat C+E (Class 1) Driver The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing logistics company based in Darlington who are looking to expand their team with reliable and professional HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) Drivers for tramping work.
This role offers regular ongoing work, Monday to Sunday on a 4 on 4 off rotation, with the potential for a temp-to-perm placement for the right drivers.
Job duties: Running trailers from Darlington to Chelmsford Trailer types include curtain side and refrigerated Night outs will be required - tramping work Requirements: Valid Class 1 (C+E) UK Licence Valid Driver CPC (DQC) Valid Digital Tachograph Card Minimum 2 years commercial UK Class 1 experience (for insurance purposes) Maximum 6 points for minor offences - No DR or IN endorsements Hours of work: Shift start times of 02:00am or 03:00am Monday to Sunday Nights out (tramping) Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour Monday to Friday £18.00 per hour Saturday £19.00 per hour Sunday Night out allowance paid separately Benefits of working for The Best Connection include: Weekly pay Online payslips Holiday accrual Personal accident insurance Pension accrual Ongoing assignments Access to Perks at Work temporary worker benefit scheme Candidates will be invited to register online via our digital onboarding system.
