Are you looking for an opportunity to advance your occupational therapy career in Paediatrics?

We are a highly successfulintegrated therapy service with a pooled budget across health and social care. Although based in East Sussex, we are employed by KCHFT which is an outstanding trust.

We are currently seeking an Occupational Therapist with significant post qualification experience in paediatrics,with an interest in working with children, particularly school-age to support their access to education.

An interest in SENand working with children with coordination difficulties, neurodevelopmental conditions and knowledge of postural management would be advantageous.

We are seeking highly motivated and innovative therapists to embrace new ways ofworking aimed at transforming the local offer in schools to improve inclusion and reduce SEMH secondary to unmet needs. Car-driver is essential.

This post is for a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to work with children or young people from 0-19 years; working in clinics,mainstream schools and in the community. The post-holder will work closely with the Therapy One Point team of therapists and as part of an integrated therapy team including Speech and Language Therapist, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists including Adaptation specialists and Integrated Therapy Assistants.

The service has a strong commitment to training and development with robust supervision and shadowing opportunitiesacross the service.

To provide a highly specialist lead role in Paediatric OT and to lead on policy development across East Sussex Children’s Integrated Therapy Service (ESCITS).

• To be responsible for managing a complex and specialist clinical caseload and to act as a specialist resource to the Locality team and other professionals and agencies.

• To be responsible for the management supervision and clinical supervision of identified staff within the team in collaboration with the Professional Leads and /or Locality Clinical Managers.

• To be responsible for ensuring the team provides a high quality and cost effective clinical service to disabled children /young people and their families in collaboration with the Professional Leads and Locality Clinical Managers.

• To be responsible for ensuring that all team members are working to agreed care pathway(s).

• To report to and advise the Professional Leads and/or Locality Clinical Manager of the teams’ development within a specialist clinical area to ensure it is in line with the organisation’s business objectives.
