Community Nurse Maternity Cover (No SPONSORSHIP) Are you a compassionate, dedicated nurse with a passion for delivering outstanding palliative and end-of-life care? Oakhaven Hospice is seeking a Community Nurse to join our team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. Youll support patients and families in the comfort of their own homes during this vital time. Contract Type Fixed-Term (Maternity Cover approx. 912 months) Hours 30 hours per week Salary £ 31,527.60pa (FTE £39,409.50pa) Closing Date: 15th June 2025 About Us At Oakhaven Hospice, we provide specialist palliative care to people with life-limiting illnesses across the New Forest, Totton, and Waterside areas. We believe in enhancing quality of life and dignity through expert care, empathy, and a deep connection with our community. About the Role This maternity cover role offers a unique opportunity to work as part of our experienced Community Team, providing high-quality, patient-centred palliative care in the community. You'll play a key part in ensuring continuity of care and support for patients and their loved ones. Key Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised nursing care for patients with complex needs. Provide emotional and practical support to families and carers. Work collaboratively with GPs, district nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Contribute to 24/7 community care by participating in a rota that includes some evenings/weekends. Maintain accurate records and uphold the highest standards of clinical governance. What Were Looking For Registered Nurse (NMC Registered). Experience in palliative care, oncology, community nursing, (training can be provided). Experience is required of caring for families and patients facing the challenge of end of life. Excellent communication skills to enable you to discuss difficult conversations Compassionate manner and a responsible, mature attitude are also essential Good organisation skills and be IT literate as well as being a great problem solver with the ability to think creatively.
