Summary

Pucklechurch Primary is a wonderful village school between Bristol and Bath. The governors are looking to appoint a dynamic teaching assistant to work flexibly to support a child with an EHCP.
This role is in conjunction with a lunchbreak supervisor commitment. All TA’s within the team work on this model which contributes hugely to the strong team ethos of the adults and the successful lunchtimes for pupils
Applicants will need to:

Use strategies to support a pupil develop their social communication and wider language skills
Develop regular routines
Have a positive personality in order to contribute/be receptive to new ideas
Demonstrate an ability to ensure that good progress is made
Have experience working with children with special educational needs
Support provision based on a multi-sensory approach
Support emotional development. Experience of delivering pastoral interventions such as Zones of Regulation is desirable
Use their own initiative to support a specific pupil and gauge when intervention is necessary whilst also developing independence
Be positive to develop confidence in others
Be fully committed to the school and working as part of a team
Be able to liaise with parents and staff
