Do you have a passion for inclusive education and ensuring the best outcomes for all children? Or are you considering a career in teaching and are looking for more experience working with children? If so, we are looking for enthusiastic teaching assistants who enjoy working with children, have a passion for learning and will put the needs of our children first. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and be committed to making a difference to children’s lives.
We are looking for flexible and confident team players who have experience of working with children with a range of needs in the classroom. The job involves supporting children 1:1, in small groups or whole class setting, and working in partnership with the class teacher, the SENDCo and external agencies.
At Whitehall Primary School, we are looking for a resilient, dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support classroom learning for children who require 1:1 support.
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
Has experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally experience of working with children with an Autism diagnosis within a primary school or specialist setting.
Has experience of working with pupils with communication and interaction needs, particularly those at an early stage of communication.
Understands the importance of structure, high expectations, and nurture in helping young people thrive.
Is organised, proactive and enjoys leading programmes that are creative, bespoke, and impact driven.
Enthusiastic, reliable and able to work well as part of a team
Able to develop positive relationships and liaise effectively with parents and carers as well as other outside agencies
Able to work independently under the direction of class Teacher.
