Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a vibrant Humanities department at a wonderful school. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about the past and committed to shaping curious, critical, and informed learners. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a History Teacher:
Teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable).
Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire curiosity and challenge students.
Promote historical thinking, source analysis, and independent enquiry.
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities such as trips, clubs, and themed days.
Support student progress through high-quality feedback and effective differentiation.
Ideal History Teacher:
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
Has strong subject knowledge and a genuine love of History.
Can foster a supportive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
Is committed to raising attainment and aspirations for all students as a History Teacher.
Is collaborative, reflective, and ready to contribute to wider school life.
