Summary

Job Summary
• Emporium Restaurant is looking for a passionate and experienced Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards, and creating an exceptional dining experience for our customers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Plan, prepare, and cook a variety of dishes according to the menu and restaurant standards.
• Ensure food is prepared and presented in an appealing and timely manner.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and adhere to all food safety regulations.
• Monitor and manage inventory, ordering supplies as needed.
• Develop new recipes and improve existing dishes to enhance the menu.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring teamwork and efficiency.
• Work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications
• A minimum of 5 years of professional culinary experience, including extensive experience in independently managing buffet stations.
Operational Efficiency:
• Proven ability to independently manage busy buffet nights and outdoor catering events with minimal assistance.
• Strong organizational skills to oversee late-night shifts, party hosting, and catering services, ensuring smooth and timely operations.
Culinary Knowledge:
• Deep knowledge of spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques.
• Mastery of recipe adaptation to suit customer preferences
Food Safety and Hygiene:
• Comprehensive understanding of food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and efficient kitchen workflows.
• successfully completed the Certificate for Food Hygiene and Safety Training for catering uk and successfully completed the Food Allergy and Intolerance Training course is certified to comply with applicable food safety standards as per regulatory guidelines with UK regulations.
Work History and Cultural Experience:
• Prior experience working in a star-rated tourist hotel, showcasing expertise in high-pressure and high-standard environments.
Independence and Adaptability:
• Highly efficient, self-reliant, and confident in managing all aspects of buffet and catering operations without assistance.
• Adaptable to working late nights and managing party hosting and outdoor catering events.
