Electrical (T&I) Location: Chelsea, with occasional cover at Sutton
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Equans is looking for a qualified and experienced Electrical (T&I) Engineer to join our maintenance team based at the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) site in Sutton. You'll be responsible for the safe delivery of electrical maintenance, testing & inspections, and fault diagnosis across critical healthcare and research facilities, with occasional cover required at our Chelsea location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on building services systems.

  • Complete electrical testing and inspections, including EICRs.

  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and faults, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

  • Use CAFM and PDA systems to log work in real time, including detailed job notes.

  • Support electrical shutdowns and act as an Authorised Person (AP) when required.

  • Supervise contractors on-site and ensure compliance with safety procedures.

  • Participate in the on-call rota and occasional out-of-hours work.

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).

  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).

  • City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent in Inspection & Testing).

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical maintenance within commercial or critical environments.

  • Strong knowledge of building services (M&E).

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

Skills:

  • Proficient with CAFM systems and Microsoft Office.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Customer-focused, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
