About the role
We are delighted to share that a unique and exciting has arisen in the Quality team as a Labelling Manager to join us here at Tesco.
This role will see the successful candidate lead the operational management of product labelling processes to ensure that product labelling information complies with all relevant regulations and that Tesco policies are implemented.
The ideal candidate will the relevant skills within a retail or food industry.
You will be responsible for
- Procuring market leading third-party Labelling Service Providers (LSPs) to undertake defined product specification and artwork labelling compliance activities, ensuring the best service and value for money.
- On-boarding, actively engaging and monitoring performance of third party LSPs to ensure they deliver to agreed KPIs and their contract.
- Managing the delivery of the LSP competency framework to demonstrate all LSP advisors have achieved and maintain an appropriate level of competence to deliver labelling compliance for Tesco.
- Actively managing the LSPs relationship with the internal and external stakeholders involved in specification and artwork processes, i.e. Product Regulatory Compliance teams, Artwork Agencies, Product Developers and Category Technical teams. Developing and implementing processes to achieve this.
- Managing updates and training on the operation of the specification and artwork compliance processes for Product Developers, Technical teams and suppliers.
- Being the go-to expert for internal stakeholder queries on labelling compliance processes.
- Developing and managing the due diligence process to monitor compliance of on-pack and online product labelling information.
- Providing expert input on strategy, development, implementation and improvement of specification and artwork compliance processes.
- Identifying and driving development of innovative data-driven approaches to improve labelling compliance processes.
- Ensure learnings from enforcement and compliance issues are incorporated into labelling policies and the labelling compliance processes.
You will need
- 5+ years experience in retail or food industry
- Specification and artwork process management
- Selection and performance management of third party Labelling Service Providers
