Regional T.I.V Engineer (Level 2 Electrical) | Cardiff | Full Time | Salary (dependent on experience): Band 1 – £36,000 to £40,000

Our client is looking to recruit a dynamic Regional Maintenance Engineer to join their team. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out reactive repairs, proactive maintenance tasks and regular inspections/audits across an allocated number of stores within your dedicated region.

Your visits will be scheduled on a rotation basis, and you will also be required to attend the stores for emergency reactive visits to meet with client SLA’s.

You will be provided with a specifically designed van to hold and manage your maintenance stock, and you will be required to provide daily reports to head office via our bespoke reporting tool.

You will liaise with store managers to ensure all required work is completed and escalated when necessary to the Account Delivery Team. Delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the Account Delivery Team will be key to your success in this role.

Are you the right person for the job?

• City & Guilds Electrical Installations Part 1 & Part 2 or 5-year NVQ equivalent
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
• CSCS accredited
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in both Electrical and Plumbing work
• Experience in a range of trade-specific tasks, including:

• Plumbing
• Electrical work
• Carpentry
• Minor brickwork
• Minor internal repairs
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Relevant technical knowledge
• High levels of efficiency and organisation
• Effective teamworking skills
• Clean, valid UK driving licence


What will your role look like?

• Visiting retail properties to carry out repairs & maintenance as per the schedule arranged for that day
• Carry out basic plumbing (fixing leaks and changing taps/waste)
• Carry out basic electrics (changing bulbs/fittings, replacing switches or sockets)
• Carry out basic carpentry (changing locks, handles)
• Carry out basic painting and decorations
• Carry out basic handyman services
• Update jobs via the portal, ensuring audits are thorough and good quality pictures are taken
• Where jobs are to be quoted, to provide a report with the materials needed, and the time needed to carry out further repairs, along with a description of the issue
