Summary


We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic band 6 research nurse with relevant cardiovascular experience to join our team of research nurses at the Royal Brompton Clinical Research Facility (CRF) working on commercial and academic clinical trials in interventional cardiology, structural heart disease,and inherited cardiac conditions.

You will be a registered nurse and have relevant clinical experience within an acute clinical setting. You will have experience of research and have a responsible and flexible approach to your workload intensity with good organisational ability. You will be able to maintain clear and accurate records and be self-motivated, friendly and use your own initiative.

Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS hospitals make up the largest specialist heart and lung center in the UK and among the largest in Europe and are known for their expertise, standard of care, and research success. The hospitals are part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. This role will be based at the Royal Brompton Hospital, but some cross-site working may be required.

Your primary responsibility will be coordinating cardiovascular clinical trials, working collaboratively with principal investigators, support departments and sponsors to deliver trials successfully. You will be expected show initiative and work with minimal supervision. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are essential and the role requires the ability to work independently and with others, both internally and externally. Other key activities include providing specialist advice for patients involved in research studies and ensuring that research is conducted according to all applicable guidelines. This role will involve extensive liaison with both internal and external clinical and research staff and requires attention to detail and a proactive approach.
