Summary
Walsall Council is seeking an experienced Housing and Welfare Officer to back-fill a vacancy for an initial period of six months. The successful candidate must have a thorough understanding of Part 6 and Part 7 of the Housing Act 1996 and demonstrate proven experience in dealing with homelessness cases. This is a blended working role, with attendance required at the Civic Centre on designated duty days. The post holder will be responsible for assessing housing needs, preventing homelessness, and delivering effective housing solutions in line with statutory duties.
