All Saints Church in Wales Primary School is a vibrant, one-form entry school located in Barry, within the Diocese of Llandaff, with just over 200 pupils on roll from Nursery to Year 6. Pay Details: Grade 4, SCP 5 - 7, £24,790 - £25,584 (Pro Rata), £12.85 - £13.26 p/h
Hours of Work / Weeks per year / Working Pattern: 32.5 hours per week Monday – Friday 39 weeks a year

Description: The Governing Body of All Saints C/W Primary School is seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic, and committed Learning Support Assistant (Level 2) to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will work under the direction of class teachers and the leadership team to support individual pupils and small groups—particularly those with additional learning needs—ensuring full access to high-quality learning experiences. The role involves contributing to the delivery of planned programmes including literacy, numeracy and digital competence, promoting wellbeing and independence, and assisting in the creation of a positive learning environment.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience working with or caring for children of primary school age,
particularly those with additional learning needs.
• Demonstrates good numeracy and literacy skills, with relevant qualifications (e.g.
NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent).
• Is confident in supporting children's learning both within the classroom and in small
group settings.
• Can assist with the planning cycle, implement targeted learning and care
programmes, and provide clerical and administrative support to the teaching team.
• Embraces the ethos and values of our school and is committed to contributing to
the development of the whole child.

• Experience of working with or caring for children of primary school age, including
those with additional learning needs.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• A relevant qualification such as NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent
experience.
• An understanding of child development and the ability to support pupils’ emotional,
social, and academic needs.
• A basic understanding of the Curriculum for Wales and a willingness to support its
principles in practice.
• The ability to work constructively as part of a team, building positive relationships
with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Effective communication skills and a flexible, proactive approach to supporting
learning across the school.
• Competence in the use of ICT to support learning and maintain records.
• A commitment to continual professional development.
